Who We Are

The Generations Project is a collaborative initiative of the Global Methodist Church focused on helping congregations reimagine how faith is formed across generations. Through research, practical tools and real-life examples, we equip churches to create meaningful spaces where children, youth and adults worship, pray and grow together.

What We Do

We equip churches with practical tools, research and real-life examples to help them bring generations together in meaningful ways. Through the Generations Project, congregations are invited to explore, experiment and implement intergenerational practices in worship, prayer and discipleship.

Our work includes:

  • Sharing proven examples from churches already doing this well

  • Providing simple, adaptable ideas for different ministry contexts

  • Offering guidance and support as churches take their next steps

  • Encouraging a culture where faith is modeled across generations

Together, we are helping churches close the discipleship gap and create spaces where every generation can grow in faith — side by side.

Why It Matters

Faith formation in children through worship and prayer is deeply rooted in scripture. Deuteronomy 6:6-7, 1 Timothy 4: 12-13, Psalm 78: 1-7.

Based on the current statistic that more than half of the children that grow up in church do not return as adults, the church in the 21st century has not intentionally discipled the next generation. The Global Methodist Church is pursuing God and purposefully telling the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done, so they will put their trust in God and not forget His deeds. (Psalm 78: 4,7)

This is for all generations. One church. One body of Christ. For God's glory.
